What a bonus buy actually does
In a normal session you spin until the scatters line up and the feature triggers on its own. A bonus buy cuts that wait out: you pay a fixed multiple of your stake and the game drops you straight into the free spins, the Hold & Win or whichever special round it offers. The price is printed on the buy button and in the rules panel, always as a multiple of the current bet.
That multiple is the whole story. At a £0.20 stake, a 35× buy costs £7; a 100× buy costs £20. A real-money player who presses the button five times at £1 a spin on a 70× game has spent £350 in five clicks. Which is exactly why a demo is the right place to try it first.
Why the demo is the best place to try a bonus buy
One bought feature tells you almost nothing. Some rounds return a fraction of the price, others several times over, and the spread between them is the thing you need to see. With virtual credits you can buy the same feature ten or twenty times in a row, write down each result and compare the total with what you paid. Nothing is lost if the run is poor, and you will have a far better idea of how the round behaves than any description can give you.
A practical method:
- Pick the stake you would really use and keep it fixed.
- Buy the feature ten times and note each payout as a multiple of the stake.
- Add them up and set the total against ten times the price.
- Then play 200 normal spins on the same game and see how often the feature arrives on its own.
Free bonus buy slots compared by price
The cheapest entry in the lobby is Orbite Zéro: 10 free spins for 35× the bet, with row planets that climb to ×10. Viking Raid offers two options, The Storm at 45.7× and The Raid at 51.2×, which makes it a good game for comparing two buys side by side. The Peacock Cube (46.4×) and Sands of the Mansa (52.5×) sit in the same bracket.
The middle band runs from around 60× to 72×: Black Jaguar Temple at 59.7×, Lunar Alchemy at 60.18×, The Spindle of the Fates and Gridiron Noir at 62×, Midnight Yacht at 65×, The Cinder Clockmaker at 69.6×, Golden Abysses at 71× and Fox Festival at 72× for its Fox Procession. At the top, Ghost Fleet charges 80× for the Kraken Hunt and Black Vigil 100× for The Manhunt.
The new bonus buy slots from October 2026
Five of the latest releases have a buy button, and each sells something slightly different. Gummy Lab Outbreak gives 10 free spins in which the mutation meter is kept from spin to spin. Olympus Feast sells 15 free spins where Hermy keeps his place on the feast trail. Savanna Stampede Megaways offers 12 free spins with a multiplier that never resets, Disco Llama Fever 10 free spins with sticky wilds, and Thunder Bison starts Hold & Win with six Thunder Coins already locked. Check the price on the button in each game.
Bought feature or natural trigger?
The buy screen does not always sell the round you would expect. In Viking Raid you choose which of the two bonuses to buy, Thunder Bison skips its free spins and goes straight to Hold & Win, and the Kraken Hunt in Ghost Fleet moves from the 8×8 chart to a larger 10×10 one. Read the buy screen before you confirm, and compare a few bought rounds with a few natural ones in the same session.
If you later play one of these games for real money, the buy button works in the same way at the casinos listed below. Treat the price as part of your budget, not on top of it.
Questions players ask
Can I buy the bonus in a free demo?
Yes. On the 19 games in this section the buy button works with demo credits. The price is deducted from your virtual balance like a normal bet.
Which bonus buy slot is the cheapest?
Orbite Zéro, at 35 times the bet for 10 free spins. Viking Raid follows with The Storm at 45.7× and The Peacock Cube at 46.4×.
Does a bought bonus pay more than a natural one?
Not necessarily. You pay a fixed price for direct access; the round itself can return less or more than that price. Buying it several times in demo shows you the spread.
How many times should I test a bonus buy in demo?
At least ten buys at the same stake. Fewer than that and one lucky or unlucky round will distort your view of the feature.
Is the bonus buy the same in the real-money version?
The game, the feature and the price as a multiple of the bet are the same. The difference is that every purchase is paid from your real balance.
