Dinner service on Mount Olympus
The waiter is a goat. His name is Hermy, he wears a purple toga, golden laurel horns and winged sandals, and he carries a platter of grapes, pomegranates and apples between marble columns in the clouds. Olympus Feast, from Nocturn Play, builds its whole mechanic around him: as the tumbles roll on, Hermy runs along a line of golden plates under the board, and the plate he stops on multiplies the spin's win.
Pay anywhere on a 6×5 board
Six reels, five rows, no paylines. Eight or more of the same symbol anywhere on the board pay, with three tiers: 8–9, 10–11 and 12 or more. The premium symbols are the ambrosia chalice, honey cake, wine amphora and golden laurel wreath; the lower ones are fruit, namely grapes, pomegranate, figs, olives and the golden apple. Wins on different symbols add up.
Winning symbols disappear, those above fall and new ones drop in, and this carries on for as long as new wins appear. That is where the trail comes in.
The feast trail
Twelve golden plates sit beneath the reels: ×2, ×3, ×4, ×5, ×6, ×8, ×10, ×15, ×20, ×30, ×50 and ×100. Every tumble moves Hermy one plate forward. Nectar orbs landing on the board push him on by +1, +2 or +3 plates when the spin wins. At the end, the spin's win is multiplied by his plate. In the base game he goes back to the start on every spin, so a long chain of tumbles is what carries him far.
Free spins, where the trail never goes back
Four or more golden cornucopias award 15 free spins, and here the trail changes character: Hermy keeps his place for the whole feature. Each tumble and each nectar orb nudges him further along, and he never returns to the start until the feature ends. Three or more cornucopias during free spins add five spins. A round pays at most 10,000 times the bet.
The bonus buy gives you the 15 free spins directly for 84 times the bet. In the Olympus Feast demo you can use it with virtual credits as often as you like, which is the best way to see how far Hermy tends to travel.
Getting a feel for it in the free version
- Play a hundred base spins first and watch where Hermy usually stops. Most spins end early on the trail; that is normal.
- Look out for nectar orbs on winning spins, as they are the quickest way past the lower plates.
- Buy the feature several times, say at a stake equivalent to £1, and note the plate Hermy reaches by the last spin.
When a win lands, the table spills over: grapes, amphorae, goblets and coins fly in from all four sides of the screen, scaled to the size of the win. You can play Olympus Feast free with no sign-up, on a phone or computer, and the same game runs for real money at the casinos listed below.
