Monkeys: five colourful troublemakers in the jungle

If you open this game and see “7 Monkeys” on the title screen, you are in the right place. Our listing calls it Monkeys, but Pragmatic Play’s logo puts a large gold seven in the middle of the name. Above it, a row of shaggy monkeys in green, gold, red and blue peers out of a night-time jungle; the green one, oddly, is wearing red sunglasses.

A simple, early title

This is one of the studio’s older and simpler releases, and it does not get much attention these days. We would rather not invent rules for it. The paytable inside the demo shows exactly how many lines are in play, which monkey pays most and whether any symbol acts as a wild or scatter. Read it first: on a straightforward game like this, knowing the top symbols is most of what you need.

Who might enjoy it

The Monkeys slot suits players who like short, uncomplicated sessions with bright, cartoonish artwork. It is the opposite of a feature-heavy modern game. If that sounds restful rather than dull, it may be worth a few minutes.

Play Monkeys free: a quick test

You have 1,000 virtual credits, with no sign-up and no download. Play 100 spins at a small stake, say 10p, and keep track of the balance every 25 spins. On a simple game, that rhythm is the whole story: how often it pays, how much, and how long the gaps are. If you enjoy it, try a higher stake for 50 spins to see whether the swings stay comfortable. It runs fine in a phone browser.

A word on expectations: older, simpler games tend to feel very different from today’s feature-packed releases. Judge this one for what it is, a quick and colourful line game, rather than comparing it with titles built ten years later.
