Panda's Fortune: a gentle spin through the bamboo

Pandas and gold ingots have been paired on slot reels for years, and Pragmatic Play’s Panda's Fortune is one of the titles that made the combination popular. It belongs to the studio’s earlier catalogue: a five-reel video slot with an Asian-luck theme, soft green and red tones, and a pace that suits long, unhurried sessions more than frantic ones.

What you see on screen

The reels are framed by bamboo and distant mountains. Lucky charms, gold and the panda himself make up the premium end of the paytable, with card values filling the lower positions. The panda is the face of the game, and the symbols you will be hoping to see across the reels are the gold-trimmed ones. Rather than guess at every rule from memory, open the paytable in the demo: it lists which symbols are wild, which act as scatters and what each feature does in the version you are playing.

Who it suits

Panda's Fortune slot is not a showcase of modern gimmicks. There are no cascading grids or multiplier towers. What it offers is a tidy, readable game where you can follow every win, which is exactly why a lot of players keep it in their rotation. If you prefer fast tumbling games, the sequel, Panda's Fortune 2, gives the theme a fresher coat of paint and is worth comparing.

Testing the Panda's Fortune demo

The demo starts with 1,000 virtual credits and needs no account. Play 150 spins at a flat stake, perhaps 25p a spin, and keep half an eye on the balance line rather than individual wins. You will quickly see whether the game leans towards frequent small returns or longer quiet stretches. Then try the same number of spins at a higher stake to judge how the swings feel. It runs smoothly in mobile browsers.

Once you know whether the bamboo forest suits you, the same game is offered for real money at the casinos below.
