Silent Samurai: honour, steel and a bonus to earn

Feudal Japan in five reels

Silent Samurai sets its reels in a stylised feudal Japan: pagodas, mountain mist, cherry trees and a stern samurai who rarely moves until the reels give him a reason to. The symbols draw on figures and objects of the period, with card ranks for the lower wins. The music is quiet and tense, which suits the title.

The samurai and the features

The samurai is linked to the wild, and his appearances help fill in lines across the five reels. Beyond that, Silent Samurai has two features to aim for: a free spins round and a separate bonus game where you make choices to reveal prizes. Each is triggered by its own symbols, which is typical of Playtech slots from this period, and it means the base game has more than one thing to hope for.

The paytable sets out exactly which symbols trigger which feature and how each plays. Take a moment to read it, especially for the bonus game, where knowing the rules makes the picks more interesting.

How to use the Silent Samurai demo

Play Silent Samurai free with 1,000 virtual credits, with no download and no account. A good routine:

• Play 250 spins at a stake equivalent to £0.25.
• Note which feature you reach more often, the free spins or the pick bonus.
• Compare their results: some players prefer the steady free spins, others the one-off bonus game.

Because there are two features, the base game tends to feel less flat than in single-feature slots. Still, the bigger results arrive in bursts, so allow enough spins.

Who will enjoy it

Silent Samurai suits players who like a strong theme and classic, readable features. If Japanese settings appeal to you, it is one of the more carefully drawn examples. The same game runs for real money at the casinos below.
