Buffalo Blitz: six reels, 4,096 ways and a charging herd

A wider prairie

Buffalo Blitz uses six reels and four rows, with no paylines. Any matching symbols on adjacent reels from the left pay, which gives 4,096 ways to win on every spin. That extra reel makes a real difference: a buffalo landing on all six reels pays far more than five, and stacks of the same animal can produce dozens of combinations at once.

The symbols are North American wildlife, with the buffalo at the top and card ranks for the frequent small wins. The artwork is realistic rather than cartoonish, with a sunset sky behind the reels.

Free games with multiplier wilds

The gold coin is the scatter. Land enough of them and the free games begin; more coins give more spins, and coins during the round add extra games. The key change in the bonus is the wild. Wilds that land on the middle reels come with a multiplier, and when several are part of the same win the multipliers stack. That combination of 4,096 ways and multiplying wilds is where Buffalo Blitz produces its biggest moments.

How to play Buffalo Blitz free

The demo starts you with 1,000 virtual credits, with no download and no sign-up. A sensible plan:

• Play 250 to 300 spins at a stake equivalent to £0.40.
• Record how many coins started each free games round and how many spins you got.
• In the bonus, count the multiplier wilds on each winning spin and see how they combine.

Most of the value in Buffalo Blitz sits in the free games, so the base game can feel quiet for a while. The demo is the right place to find out how patient you need to be.

Blitz or the original Buffalo?

If you like the herds-and-sunsets formula, Buffalo Blitz offers a bigger grid and a more explosive bonus. If you want something simpler, a classic five-reel buffalo game will suit you better. The same game runs for real money at the casinos below.
