Age of the Gods: King of Olympus, Zeus at the top

Part of a bigger family

Playtech's Age of the Gods is a whole series of Greek mythology slots, each built around a different god, linked by a shared jackpot system. King of Olympus is Zeus's game, and fittingly it feels like the flagship: marble columns, lightning, golden armour and a stern-faced Zeus as the most valuable symbol. Other gods and mythological objects fill the reels, with card ranks for the smaller wins.

The base game is a classic five-reel line slot, so the rules are easy to pick up. What gives it extra interest is the free games round and, in the real money version, the series' jackpot game.

Free games and Zeus

Scatter symbols lead into the free games, where Zeus plays the central role. The paytable sets out how many scatters you need, how the round works and what Zeus adds once it starts. Read it before you spin: the Age of the Gods games each have their own bonus rules, and knowing this one makes the spins easier to follow.

The four jackpots

All Age of the Gods slots share a jackpot game with four levels, called Power, Extra Power, Super Power and Ultimate Power. It can be triggered at random on any spin, after which you pick from a grid of coins to reveal which level you win. In the demo, the jackpot amounts do not reflect a real pool and should be treated as purely illustrative.

How to use the demo

Play Age of the Gods: King of Olympus free with 1,000 virtual credits, no download and no account. A useful routine:

• Play 250 spins at a stake equivalent to £0.25.
• Note how many times the free games arrive and what Zeus contributed each time.
• Compare with another title in the series if you like: the base layout is similar, but the bonuses differ.
