Gilded Swan Regatta: six swans, one moonlit lake, fixed odds

The poster is all feathers and gold leaf: a white swan with gilded wings and a sapphire collar gliding over black water. The game keeps that mood. There are no reels in Gilded Swan Regatta, only six lanes on a lake at night and six swans named after gems: Sapphire, Ruby, Amethyst, Gold, Pearl and Onyx. You back one, press Race and watch. The Gilded Swan Regatta demo lets you do that as often as you like with virtual credits, free, with no download and no sign-up.

Choosing a swan and a bet

Each swan has its own card with fixed odds. The field is not evenly matched: some swans are favourites with short prices, others are outsiders that rarely win but pay far more when they do. Tap a card to back that swan, then choose the bet type. A Win bet pays only if your swan crosses the line first. A Podium bet pays if it finishes in the top three, at lower odds. That second option makes a backed outsider much less of a long shot, which is a useful way to learn the field.

The finishing order is settled the moment you place the bet. The race itself is the show: swans surge, fall back and sometimes need a photo finish to separate them, but nothing you see during the race changes the outcome.

Golden lilies and the Moonpath

Some lanes carry rings of golden lilies. If there is a ring in your swan’s lane and your bet wins, the payout is multiplied by ×2 or ×3, or by ×25 for the rare imperial lily. Lilies can appear on Win and Podium bets alike, so a winning Podium bet on a lane with a ×3 ring is worth noticing.

Once per race the moon also lights one lane, the Moonpath. It does not change who finishes where; it only matters for one thing, the Crown of the Lake.

The Crown of the Lake

The Crown needs everything to line up. On a Win bet, your swan must finish first, its lane must hold the Moonpath, and that same lane must carry an imperial ×25 lily. When it happens, the lake is crowned and the game pays its maximum prize of 2,000× the bet.

How to use the free version

Start by placing ten Win bets on the favourite at a small stake, the equivalent of 10p, then ten on the outsider, and compare how the balance moves. Repeat the exercise with Podium bets. It takes a few minutes and shows clearly how the odds trade frequency against size. After that, watch where the lily rings float during each race and how rarely the imperial one turns up; it tells you more about the Crown than any description. Turbo and Auto are there once you have a routine.
