A quick card game with two hands and no dealer to beat
Royal Trail takes Teen Patti, the three-card game played all over India, and trims it down to a brisk 20-20 round. You never hold cards yourself. Two hands, Player A and Player B, receive three cards each from a fresh 52-card deck, and you back the one you expect to finish stronger. The Royal Trail demo hands you a stack of virtual credits, so you can learn the rhythm of the table without paying for the lesson.
Each round opens with a 20-second betting window. When it shuts, the cards go out A, B, A, B, A, B; Player A's hand is turned over first, then Player B's. The whole round is over in less time than it takes to read this paragraph, which is why it suits short sessions on a phone.
How Teen Patti hands rank
If you know poker, set part of it aside. With only three cards the order shifts:
- Trail: three of a kind, the top hand
- Pure sequence: three consecutive cards in one suit
- Sequence: three consecutive cards in mixed suits
- Colour: three cards of the same suit
- Pair
- High card
A-K-Q is the best sequence, with A-2-3 just below it. Suits never separate two hands, so identical values produce a Tie, and stakes on Player A and Player B come straight back to you.
The side bets: Pair Plus, Tie and the 6-Card Bonus
Beyond the main A-or-B choice, the felt carries extra boxes. Pair Plus A and Pair Plus B pay on one hand's own cards, whichever hand wins the round: a pair returns 1 to 1, and the prices climb through colour, sequence and pure sequence up to a trail. The Tie box pays a large price precisely because it lands so rarely.
The 6-Card Bonus is the long shot. It takes all six cards on the table and builds the best five-card poker hand from them. Three of a kind pays 7 to 1, and a royal flush pays 1,000 to 1. In a single round the table tops out at 5,000 times the chip unit. The full price list lives in the paytable, and it is worth opening once before you place anything.
Getting the most from the free version
Since you can play Royal Trail free with no download and no sign-up, use the credits to test habits rather than chase a result. A sensible first session might run like this:
- Play twenty rounds on Player A or Player B only, with the smallest chip, to get used to the deal order.
- Add a Pair Plus chip and watch how often one hand shows a pair or better.
- Give the 6-Card Bonus a stretch of rounds and note how seldom the top rows appear.
The chip tools save time: UNDO removes your last chip, CLEAR wipes the layout, DOUBLE doubles every bet and REPEAT puts last round's bets back down. The bead road above the table logs recent results in orange for Player A, teal for Player B and gold for a tie. Treat it as a record, nothing more; every deal comes from a newly shuffled deck.
Look and feel
The poster sets the tone with a moustachioed host in a jewelled turban and monocle, fanning a king, queen and ace. At the table itself the palette turns black and gold, with art deco lines framing the cards. It is a calm screen, which helps when rounds come round every few seconds. Once you have the hang of it, the same game runs for real money at the casinos listed below.
Questions players ask
Do I need an account to play the Royal Trail demo?
No. The demo opens straight in your browser with virtual credits, so there is no sign-up and nothing to download.
What happens to my Player A or Player B bet on a tie?
It is returned. Only the Tie box pays when both hands have exactly the same values, because suits never rank in Teen Patti.
Does Royal Trail work on a mobile phone?
Yes. The table runs in a mobile browser, and the 20-second rounds suit short sessions on a phone.
Is the demo different from the real-money version?
The rules, side bets and paytable are the same. The only difference is that demo credits have no cash value and cannot be withdrawn.
