Resident: Igrosoft's secret agent and his wall of safes

Spy films, arcade style

Out of all the Igrosoft hall machines, Resident has the most cinematic theme. Its hero is an undercover agent, and the reels carry the props of a slightly comic spy story: documents, gadgets, cameras and the agent himself. The artwork is drawn in the studio's familiar cartoon style rather than taking itself seriously.

Underneath, the structure is the one Igrosoft fans know well: five reels, three rows and selectable lines, with the agent standing in as the wild.

Cracking the safes

The bonus is why the Resident slot still gets searched for years after its release. Bonus symbols on an active line open a scene with a wall of safes. You choose them one at a time; most hold a prize, but a bad pick ends the round early. Reach the end and a final choice between two options decides whether you leave with an extra reward.

Each pick is random, so there is no pattern to learn, yet the format makes every bonus feel different from the last.

The card gamble

As in the rest of the range, wins can be risked on a card game: beat the dealer's card by choosing one of four face-down cards to double the win, or lose it. In the demo, try it a few times to understand how often it fails, then decide whether it has any place in your real-money play.

Playing Resident free

Load the demo and you'll have 1,000 virtual credits, without registering or downloading anything. Set every line at a small stake, around the equivalent of £0.45, and give it 150 spins. Track how many spins it takes to reach the safes and how many picks you usually manage before the round ends. Desktop and mobile both work. The game is also available for real money at the casinos below.
