Lucky Haunter: a day out with Igrosoft's clumsy hunter

A hunter with more luck than skill

Igrosoft built several of its hall classics around cartoon characters, and Lucky Haunter's hero is a sportsman who seems happier with a drink in hand than a rifle. Hunting gear, wildlife and bottles share the reels, drawn in the same bold, slightly retro style as Crazy Monkey and Fruit Cocktail. Yes, the title really is spelt that way; it's part of the game's identity and the spelling players type when they look for it.

The screen follows the studio's usual pattern of five reels and three rows, with the lines you play set from the panel. The hunter acts as the wild, filling gaps in line wins.

The bonus round

Bonus symbols on an active line move you into a picking scene. Each choice reveals a prize or ends the sequence, and making it through can open one last decision with a better reward. It's the same pick-and-reveal format that runs through Igrosoft's classic range, dressed in the hunter's setting, and it is just as random as it looks.

The risk game

Any line win can be put on the table in the card gamble. The dealer reveals a card; you choose one of four face-down cards. Higher doubles the amount, lower loses it. Some players treat it as part of every spin, others never touch it. Trying both habits in free play is the clearest way to see the difference.

Testing Lucky Haunter for free

The demo comes with 1,000 virtual credits and no registration. A sensible plan: all lines at the equivalent of £0.45, 150 spins, gamble switched off. Note how many spins pass before the bonus scene and how much it adds. Then repeat with the gamble on small wins only. Because nothing is at stake, you can see the swings without worrying about them. If you'd rather play Lucky Haunter for real money, the casinos below offer it.
