Vampire Night: EGT after dark

Gothic horror, slot style

Vampire stories suit slots well: dark colours, strong characters and an easy sense of tension. Vampire Night uses all of that. The reels sit under a moonlit sky, the vampire takes pride of place at the top of the paytable, and the other symbols borrow from the horror shelf. Card royals take care of the lower pays. The design is more cinematic than most EGT titles, but the controls are the same, so anyone who knows the studio will find their way at once.

The free spins round

Scatters landing anywhere on the reels open the free spins. The info screen shows how many you need, the number of spins and any special rule in the round. Reading it first makes the bonus far easier to follow, especially if a particular symbol plays a bigger role once the free spins start.

Between bonuses, the game plays as a standard line slot. Expect quiet stretches, then a premium line that resets the mood.

The gamble

Every win can be gambled on a hidden card: call red or black to double it, or lose the amount. You can skip it and collect at any time.

Play Vampire Night free

The Vampire Night demo comes with 1,000 virtual credits, no account and no download. Set the equivalent of £0.10 a line and play 300 spins. Count the free spins rounds and note what each paid, together with the longest gap between two of them. That gap is useful to know before playing with real stakes, because it tells you how much patience the game asks for. Compared with Dark Queen, which shares the gloomy mood, Vampire Night leans more towards classic horror. The same game runs for real money at the casinos below.

The demo plays in any modern browser, on a computer or a phone.
