40 Super Hot: four rows of fruit and sevens

Four rows instead of three

Start the 40 Super Hot demo and the first thing you notice is height. EGT stretched the classic 5x3 board to five reels and four rows, then laid forty fixed lines across it. With more positions on screen, the same fruit can appear twice on a reel, and a column of plums or grapes can feed several lines at once. That is where the game gets its reputation: spins that suddenly light up half the screen.

The cast is familiar. Cherries and lemons at the bottom, oranges and plums in the middle, grapes and watermelons higher up, and the seven above them all. The star is the scatter and pays from three anywhere on the reels.

How it plays compared with 20 and 100

20 Super Hot keeps things small on a 5x3 grid. 100 Super Hot keeps four rows but pushes the line count much higher, so almost every arrangement touches something. 40 Super Hot sits between the two: enough lines that wins come along fairly often, few enough that a full screen of one symbol still feels special.

There are no free spins. After a win you may gamble it on a red or black card guess, or bank it and move on.

A sensible demo session

The demo gives 1,000 virtual credits with no download and no account. Play 40 Super Hot free for 250 spins at the equivalent of £0.40 a spin, one credit per line. Note the spins where a single symbol covered most of the grid: they are rare, but they explain why people come back to this slot. Count your star hits as well, since the scatter pays independently of the lines.
