Lucky Joker 20: fruit, sevens and a joker on the loose

A fruit slot with a wild card

The Lucky Joker range is Amatic's answer to players who like classic fruit but want a little more going on. This 20-line version sets cherries, lemons, oranges, plums, grapes, melons and sevens on five reels and three rows, then adds a joker who acts as the wild. When he lands, he can stand in for the fruit to complete lines, which makes him the symbol you'll find yourself waiting for.

The exact rules for the joker and the scatter are in the paytable behind the info button. It's worth a ten-second look before you start, because knowing which positions he can appear on helps you read the reels.

Rhythm and features

There's no bonus round with its own screen. Sessions are made up of regular line wins, joker-assisted wins and the occasional scatter payment. The card gamble is available after any win, as on almost every Amatic slot, letting you risk the amount on red or black.

Twenty lines give a reasonable balance: wins come often enough to keep things moving, without the visual clutter of the larger 40- or 100-line fruit games.

Lucky Joker 20 demo tips

The demo gives you 1,000 virtual credits with no account. Spin 200 times at a steady stake, around £0.20 equivalent, and count how many of your bigger wins involved the joker. That single number tells you how much the game leans on him. Try a few rounds of the gamble too, to see how it feels before ever using it for real.

If you like it, the Lucky Joker series includes other line counts, such as the five-line edition, which plays in a much more stop-start way.
