Crown of Fire: gold, flames and a royal finish

Flames curling around a jewelled crown, a dark background and plenty of gold: the first impression of Crown of Fire is of a game that wants to look expensive. Pragmatic Play has a long line of fire-themed slots, from the plain Fire Hot fruit machines to more elaborate feature games, and this one sits on the regal side of that family. You can play Crown of Fire free here with 1,000 virtual credits, without signing up or downloading anything.

Know the rules before the reels

There is less written about Crown of Fire than about the studio’s big names, and guesses about how a game works are a poor substitute for the real thing. The in-game paytable spells out the symbol values, the role of any wild or scatter and what sets off the feature. Read it, then use the first fifty spins to check that what you see matches what it says.

A fixed stake and around 250 spins give a fair picture. Rather than counting wins, track the balance every fifty spins. The curve it draws – smooth and gently sloping, or long flat stretches broken by sudden jumps – tells you how the game behaves far better than any single result.

Who it suits

Players who like the colour and heat of the fire-themed slots but want something with a little more ceremony than a row of sevens will feel at home here. If you mostly play quick sessions on a phone, check that the paytable and buttons are comfortable at that size before committing to a long run. The same game is available for real money at the casinos below.
