Go Bananas: a jungle band of wild animals

Cartoon jungle, quick spins

Go Bananas is one of NetEnt's lighter games. The reels sit in a bright jungle full of cartoon animals, each with its own animation and sound effect, and the soundtrack is pure fun. It plays on five reels with lines, and the wins come mainly from the animals at the top of the paytable and the fruits and card-like symbols below them.

What sets it apart is that the animals don't just pay: they also bring wild features. Instead of building everything around a free spins round, Go Bananas lets the action happen in the base game.

The wild features

At random, an animal can step in and add wilds to the reels in its own way. Each one has a different effect on the screen, so you don't know quite what will happen when the music changes. Some features add a single extra wild, others spread several across the grid. The point is variety: the base game rarely feels static.

Because the specific rules of each animal's feature are set out in the paytable, it's worth a quick read before you start, so you recognise them as they arrive.

Playing Go Bananas free

The demo opens in your browser with 1,000 virtual credits, without registration or download. To understand the rhythm of the game:

• Play 150 to 200 spins at a stake equivalent to £0.20.
• Each time an animal feature appears, note which animal and what it added to the reels.
• Compare the size of wins with and without a feature: it shows you where the value of the game sits.

Who will enjoy it

Go Bananas suits players who like frequent small events and a playful tone, and who don't want to sit through hundreds of spins waiting for a bonus. If you prefer a dramatic free spins round, a different slot will satisfy you more. The same game runs for real money at the casinos below.
