Wolf Gold: moonlit canyons and the Money Respin

Red rock, a purple sky and a wolf howling on a ridge: Wolf Gold has been around for years and still sits near the top of many lobbies. Its appeal lies in two very different features, and the Wolf Gold demo, with 1,000 virtual credits and no sign-up, is the easiest way to get a feel for both.

Stacked animals on twenty-five lines

Five reels, three rows and twenty-five fixed paylines. Card royals fill the low end, while the bison, wolf, eagle, cougar and horse form the premium set. Symbols arrive in tall stacks, so a single spin can cover whole reels with the same animal and pay on several lines at once. The wild, a desert landscape, substitutes for all regular symbols.

The Money Respin

Glowing moon symbols carry cash values. Land six or more in one spin and the Money Respin begins: the moons lock in place, the other positions go blank and you get three respins. Each new moon locks too and resets the counter to three. When no new moon lands in three respins, the round ends and every moon pays its value. Some moons show a jackpot label instead of a cash amount: Mini or Major. Filling all fifteen positions awards the Mega jackpot. In the free play, counting how often you reach eight, ten or twelve moons gives a good sense of the feature.

Free spins with giant symbols

Three scatter symbols trigger a short set of free spins. During the round, the three middle reels join together and spin as one giant reel, so a three-by-three block of the same symbol can land and connect with matches on the outer reels. It is a simple twist, but it lines up very wide wins when an animal block meets the right symbols on reels one and five.

A sensible test plan

• Play 150 to 200 spins to see both features at least once.
• Watch for full-reel stacks in the base game: they carry most of the regular wins.
• In the Money Respin, note how many moons you started with and how many you finished with.
