Aztec King: a free look at the temple slot

Gold and stone in the jungle

Aztec King belongs to Pragmatic Play's long run of Mesoamerican slots, the family that also includes the Aztec Gems series and a book-style spin-off, Book of Aztec King. Here the setting is the king's temple: stepped stone, gold ornaments, feathered headdresses and jungle green around the reels. The art is bright and readable, and the king himself is the symbol you'll want to see lined up.

We'd rather not describe a feature set we can't vouch for in detail, so this page focuses on how to test the game sensibly. The paytable button inside the demo lists every symbol and explains each feature properly; it's worth a minute before you start spinning.

How to test Aztec King in free play

The demo loads with 1,000 virtual credits, no download and no sign-up. A good routine:

• Read the paytable first and note which symbol triggers the bonus.
• Play 150 to 200 spins at a fixed stake, around £0.50 equivalent, without changing it.
• Count how many spins it takes to reach the feature, and how much of your balance is left when you get there.
• Watch how the base game pays between features: frequent small wins or long quiet runs?

That gives you a real sense of the game's rhythm, which is more useful than any description.

Who might enjoy it

If you like Pragmatic Play's Aztec look and want something a little different from the book version, Aztec King is a natural next step. There's no bonus buy, so every feature has to be earned on the reels. When you've found a stake that feels comfortable, the same game is available for real money at the casinos listed below.
