Pyramid Bonanza: under the wings of the jewelled scarab

Most Egyptian slots go dark and dusty. Pyramid Bonanza does the opposite: its emblem is a winged scarab in vivid blue, gold and pink, holding up a red sun disc, set against a sunlit sky and a row of pyramids. Pragmatic Play gave it a cleaner, more colourful look than its other titles on the same theme, and the name places it, in spirit at least, next to the studio’s other Bonanza games.

How to learn the mechanics

Pyramid Bonanza is not as widely covered as Sweet Bonanza or Gates of Olympus, and we prefer not to describe a mechanic we cannot confirm. The rules screen inside the demo is the best guide: it shows how the grid is laid out, how wins are counted and what the feature does. Do not assume it plays like other Bonanza titles just because of the name; check first.

Where it sits among Pragmatic's Egyptian games

Pyramid King is the gold-mask, classic-pharaoh option. Mysterious Egypt is moody and character-led, with a queen at dusk. The Pyramid Bonanza slot is the sunny one, with jewel tones and a lighter feel. If you are browsing Egyptian games, this is the one to pick when you want colour rather than shadow.

Play Pyramid Bonanza free: a test plan

The demo gives you 1,000 virtual credits, with no sign-up and no download. Play 150 spins at about 20p, watching how wins form and how often the feature lands. Then compare your notes with a session on another Egyptian title at the same stake. The difference in rhythm will tell you more than the artwork. The game is fully playable on a phone.

Finally, do not be put off by a slow start. Many games take a while to show their best side, and 150 spins is a far fairer sample than the first twenty.

When you have made up your mind, the same Pyramid Bonanza game runs for real money at the casinos below.
