Joker's Jewels free play: gems, a jester and nothing else

Some slots pile on features; Joker's Jewels does almost the opposite. Pragmatic Play's jester-themed game puts coloured gemstones and a smiling joker on five reels with only a handful of fixed paylines, and leaves it there. There are no free spins to chase and no complicated bonus screen to learn, which is exactly why it has kept a loyal following. You can play Joker's Jewels free here with 1,000 virtual credits, without registering or downloading.

How it pays

Regular wins come from matching gems along the lines, from left to right, with the rarer stones paying noticeably more than the common ones. The joker is the special one: he acts as a scatter, paying wherever he lands once enough of him appear, without needing to sit on a line. That is the whole engine of the game, and it makes every spin easy to read at a glance.

Why test it in the demo

Because there is no bonus round, the Joker's Jewels slot lives entirely on base-game wins, so the question is simply how they are spread out. Play 200 spins at a fixed stake of around £0.10 to £0.20 and count:

• how often a spin pays anything;
• how often the joker scatter shows up in paying numbers;
• how your balance moves over the session.

With quick spins and autoplay, that sample takes only a few minutes, and it gives you a clear sense of the rhythm.

Who it suits

Joker's Jewels is ideal if you want short sessions, minimal reading and clean visuals that work well on a phone screen. If you prefer a bonus to look forward to, Joker King or the studio's feature-heavy games will suit you better. Play Joker's Jewels free as long as you like; the same game runs for real money at the casinos below.
