Juicy Fruits free play: a fresher take on the fruit machine

Fruit slots usually come in two flavours: retro sevens and flames, or cartoon fruit with a lot of personality. Juicy Fruits from Pragmatic Play sits firmly in the second camp. The symbols are glossy and rounded, the colours are bright, and wins come with satisfying splashes rather than the clunk of an old machine. If the Hot to Burn style feels too old-fashioned, this one is worth a look. You can play Juicy Fruits free here with 1,000 virtual credits, no account and no download.

The basics on screen

Smaller fruits such as cherries and lemons supply the frequent wins, with the larger, more colourful fruits paying better. There is a wild, and the game includes a bonus feature triggered by special symbols. Because Juicy Fruits is not as widely documented as the studio's major releases, the most reliable explanation of the layout and the bonus is inside the game. Spend a minute on the paytable screens before your first spin; they show what each symbol is worth at your chosen stake, which also helps you spot a good result when it lands.

A proper Juicy Fruits demo session

A cheerful look tells you nothing about how a game pays, so run a small test. Stick to one stake, around £0.20, for 150 spins. Keep a tally of spins that return anything, spins that beat the stake, and how long the bonus takes. Once it has triggered, compare its total with what you spent in between. If the first block feels unrepresentative, play another; the demo balance resets whenever you reload the page.

Who will like it

Players who enjoy fruit slots but want something lighter and more modern than the classic sevens-and-bells design will feel at home. It is also easy on the eye on a phone. When you are happy with how it plays, the same game is available for real money at the casinos below.
