Attila: the Scourge of God on five reels

A slot from the steppes

Few historical figures have a reputation as fierce as Attila, leader of the Huns, and Novomatic's slot leans into it. The reels are filled with warriors, weapons, shields and campaign gear, rendered in earthy browns and deep reds, with the warlord himself as the central figure. Compared with the bright fruit and sea themes in the studio's catalogue, it feels heavier and more dramatic, and the music plays along.

Underneath the armour, the structure is the one Novomatic players know: five reels, three rows and fixed paylines.

The features

Attila combines a wild symbol, which completes paylines, with a scatter that unlocks a free games round when enough appear anywhere on the reels. The info screen explains the specifics: which symbol is wild, how many scatters you need and what the free games contain. Read it in the demo before relying on any assumption borrowed from other games.

The game also exists in a Deluxe edition with cleaner visuals and the same historical theme.

How to approach the Attila demo

The Attila demo gives you 1,000 virtual credits with no sign-up and no download. Try 250 spins at a stake equal to £0.20, split into two halves. In the first, just watch which symbols land and how often. In the second, focus on the free games and keep a tally of what each round delivered.

War-themed slots can encourage aggressive staking. In free play there is no harm in experimenting, so try one short burst at a higher stake as well and see how fast the balance moves. That is a useful lesson to carry into real-money play.

Gamble feature

Each win can go on the card gamble, red or black, double or nothing. Attila suits players who prefer a bold theme to a cute one. The same game can be played for real money at the casinos listed below.
