Explodiac: retro fruit with a short fuse

The look and the idea

Explodiac takes the classic fruit machine and lights the fuse. Familiar symbols share the reels with dynamite and explosive effects, and the presentation leans into the arcade feel that made Gamomat's games popular in German gaming halls. It's loud, colourful and quick.

The name gives the theme away, and the explosive symbols are the ones to learn first. How they behave, and what they can do to a spin, is explained in the paytable behind the info button. It's a short read, and it will make the next few hundred spins much easier to follow.

What playing it feels like

Explodiac is about rhythm rather than long build-ups. Spins resolve quickly, wins are shown clearly, and the explosive moments break up the steady flow of line results. That makes it a good choice for short sessions, or for players who find long, feature-heavy video slots tiring.

As on other Gamomat slots, gamble options appear after a win. They're optional and best tried first with virtual credits.

Explodiac free play: getting a feel for it

The demo gives you 1,000 virtual credits; there's no sign-up or download. Set one stake, around £0.20 equivalent, and play 200 spins. Pay particular attention to the explosive symbols: how often they appear, and how many of your bigger results involve them. That tells you how much of the game's character depends on them.

Then try a burst of 50 spins on autoplay and see whether the pace suits you better when you're not clicking each spin. Some players prefer it that way.

Other versions

Gamomat also released Explodiac Red Hot Firepot, which keeps the same reels and adds a random three-pot jackpot feature. If you like the original, it's worth comparing the two in demo mode. The same game runs for real money at the casinos below.
