A rainbow chameleon in a purple top hat, gold bow tie and tailcoat lunges across a hot-pink poster, his tongue snapping up the number 80 in mid-air. Subtle it is not, and that suits a game built for speed. Eighty Nights is a keno game from Nocturn Play with a draw every sixty seconds, and you can play Eighty Nights free here on demo credits – no download, no sign-up.
The basics of free keno
The board holds 80 numbers. Each draw, 20 balls come out. Before the countdown ends, you choose between 1 and 10 numbers on your ticket. The more of your numbers are drawn, the more you win: your prize is the stake multiplied by the paytable amount for how many numbers you picked and how many came up. The paytable changes with your pick count, and a tab on screen shows it for whatever you have selected.
One detail is worth knowing: on a pick-10 ticket you also win if none of your numbers comes out. Ten picks and ten misses is rarer than it sounds, so it pays.
Building tickets in Eighty Nights
Tap numbers on the board, or press Quick Pick and choose how many you want the game to pick for you. Clear wipes your selection. Set the stake with the minus and plus buttons or the chips, and the Place bet button shows the most that ticket can win. Then press it, and the ticket goes into the next draw.
- You can place up to 10 tickets in the same draw.
- All tickets in one draw share a single stake, the one set on the first ticket.
- A ticket placed while balls are still coming out is held for the following draw.
- Repeat plays your last tickets again in one tap.
Results, Hot & Cold and My tickets
Three tabs sit alongside the board. Results lists the latest draws. Hot & Cold shows the numbers drawn most and least often over recent draws – and the game itself reminds you that every draw is new, so past results do not change the next one. Treat it as a fun way to pick numbers rather than a system. My tickets keeps track of what you have in play and what each ticket won.
A good way to use the demo
Keno is all about choosing how many numbers to play, and that is exactly what the demo lets you explore without cost. Try a run of draws with 3 or 4 picks, where small wins come along fairly regularly. Then switch to 8, 9 or 10 picks, where most tickets miss but the top lines of the paytable are far bigger. Because a new draw arrives every minute, half an hour gives you around thirty draws, and with several tickets per draw you get a solid feel for each style.
The interface is clear on a phone: the 80-number board fits in portrait, and the countdown is always visible. There is no bonus buy and no extra feature – just numbers, balls and the paytable.
Everything in the demo uses virtual credits with no value. The same game runs for real money at the casinos below.
