Great Rhino Deluxe: the savanna sequel in free play

Sequels live or die on what they change. Pragmatic Play's Great Rhino Deluxe keeps the African plains, the wildlife symbols and the rhino as headline act, but it is not simply the first game with a new coat of paint. The visuals are cleaner and more detailed, the sound design is fuller, and the bonus side of the game has been rethought. You can play Great Rhino Deluxe free here with 1,000 virtual credits, no download and no sign-up.

What carries over from the original

The core identity is unchanged: a five-reel game with fixed lines, card values at the bottom of the paytable, savanna animals in the middle and the rhino as the premium. Rhinos still love to land stacked, and when a big block of them appears the whole screen lights up. If you enjoyed the original, the basic rhythm will feel familiar within a few spins.

What is different in Deluxe

The interesting part is the feature set. Instead of repeating the first game, Deluxe reorganises how its special symbols and bonus round behave. Rather than paraphrase from memory and risk getting a detail wrong, the best approach is to open the paytable in the Great Rhino Deluxe slot and read the feature screens: they show what triggers the respins and the free spins in this version and what is added during them. Then compare it directly with the original demo.

A side-by-side demo test

Give each version 150 spins at the same stake, around £0.20, and note:

• how often the rhino lands stacked;
• how often a feature starts in each game;
• whether Deluxe pays more in small, frequent amounts or saves itself for the bonus.

That comparison is the real value of a free demo: you choose the version that suits you before spending anything. Both are available for real money at the casinos below.
