Fishin’ Reels: a quieter day by the water

Fishing slots have become a genre of their own, and for many players the word now means Big Bass. Fishin’ Reels comes from the same studio but has its own personality: a calm lake, a wooden jetty, tackle boxes, floats and a fish or two that clearly got away. The atmosphere is calmer than the bass series, and the game should be judged on its own rules rather than by comparison. The Fishin’ Reels demo here comes with 1,000 virtual credits, no sign-up needed.

Don’t assume it is a Big Bass game

This is the most useful thing to know before you start. Because the theme is so close, it is tempting to expect the same features, but Fishin’ Reels has its own rules. Open the paytable inside the game to see the lines, the symbol values and how any bonus works, rather than relying on what you know from other fishing titles.

A relaxed Fishin’ Reels demo session

Play Fishin’ Reels free for 200 to 250 spins at a stake you are comfortable with. Note how often the reels pay, which symbol is behind the larger wins and how long you wait for anything special. If you also play the Big Bass games, run a session of each and compare the pace: the contrast is the best way to decide which suits your mood.

Sound and setting

The lakeside artwork and gentle soundtrack make this a pleasant game to leave running with the sound on. It reads well on mobile, with clear symbols that do not shrink into a blur. When you have seen enough, the real-money version is available at the casinos below.
